Advantages: saves you loads

Disadvantages: none

The boots advantage card is a great way to save for Christmas. I have had a lot of free items this Christmas because of the loyalty scheme.

Every time you shop at Boots and hand in your advantage card you get points. There are 4 points per pound. So you obviously need 100 points to spend a pound in store. It does not take me long to save on this card as I buy a lot of my Christmas presents for my girls in Boots as their fantastic 3 for " offer is great. I have saved £100's there this Christmas and spending on my advantage card also has saved me even more.

Boots give you double points on your advantage card every time you buy baby items such as:-
* Boots own label baby products
* Pampers nappies and wipes
* Heinz baby food
* Philips Advent bottles and sterilisers and
* Johnsons baby toiletries.

I am in the Boots parenting club so every month I get coupons posted to me where I can earn extra advantage card points every time I buy certain products. Boots also send me vouchers for free items like disposable cameras too because I have an advantage card.

I had quite a lot of High street voucher this year which has been a big help this Christmas as I have had coupons in them where if you spend £50 in boots I can get £5 extra on my advantage card. I cheated the other week though as on Thursdays they have an offer on where if you spent £50 you could get an extra £10 on your card. I ended up spending £60 with my high street vouchers so me being cheeky (as usual), I asked if I could use my high street coupon too. They actually let me so I spent £60 and also got £17.50 on my advantage card. I was really chuffed. I did it this Thursday too so I now have £36 on my card. If I can get away with it I will do it next Thursday too.

This year I have spent £40 on my advantage card. I have been saving all this year as I usually do and at present I have £36. So I think for just handing in a card and a few coupons when you shop and getting £76 free is amazing.

You can buy almost anything with your advantage card points. The only thing that you can not buy is formula milk and pay for prescription fees. There is so much you can buy. I usually end up buying perfume gift sets for my family and as I have been so good saving my points I usually buy myself one too.

I would really recommend the Boots advantage card and using it to save through the year. Its will really help you save for Christmas.

You will regret it! These cards are really about gathering data on your shopping habits and then sold to companies who use it against you..like health and insurance comaopnies;<
