Advantages: a great loyalty scheem

Disadvantages: only round pound points

I have no idea why this is listed under credit cards as it is not a credit card, it is a loyalty scheem by which you get rewarded for spending your money in boots stores or on boots website.

Basically for every £1 you spend in boots you get 4 advantage card points and each point works out at 1penny each, so you get 4p back for every £1 you spend, it has to be a whole pound so you cannot get 3 points for spending 75p which i think is a shame as the bill is never a round figure so you do lose out on points this way.

You can collect the points when you shop on boots.com by puting your advantage card on the info you register with but they are not added to your card automatically you have to take your card to a boots store and put it in one of there machines to get your points, you have 12 months from the date of purchase to do this.

You can use your points against the value of most items in boots stores and there is very often offers on instore to get you extra points, it is a great idea as you feel you are getting rewarded for shopping there and if you collect the points up you can treat your self to something nice.
