Advantages: free to sign up, money for nothing

Disadvantages: cant spend points online

If you dont have a Boots Loyalty Advantage Card then whats stopping you?
They are free and easy to obtain. You can apply online, by phone or fill in a form readily available instore. These instore leaflets actually have an 'instant' advantage card on them so you can commence collecting points immediately.
Once youve spent your two minutes applying, then its worth just keeping the card in your purse for those Boots visits.

The Boots advantage card basically offer you 4 points per every pound spent instore or online. That equates to four pence back out of every pound. This doesnt seem much but it soon adds up and you will be suprised when you check your total one day!

Now I know alot of you may argue that buying your toiletries in the supermarket is cheaper anyway but even Boots has regular offers on your everday favourites! And lets face it, Tesco does seem to be taking over the world!

If using this card instore then it is highly recommended that you insert the card in one of the advantage card machines dotted around the store. This will tell you of any 'extra points' offers around the store and in the past I have even received vouchers for free sample sized products to try.

For those of you still reluctant to try this think of christmas and the fantastic 3 for 2 offers around the store on toys, christmas shop and gifts. There will not be many of you that have never taken advantage of this offer. I know I have. They also have excellent 75% off sales.

New parents can also purchase baby items from cotton wool to the lateset pushchair. Purchase these online and find one of the many money off codes (for example £10 off a £50 spend in conjunction with a 3 for 2 is excellent value for money)
Personally I bought my daughters carseat online and received £5 back in points. The car seat was no more costly here than any other place Id viewed it so the £5 was a bonus.

Shoppers online can also use their card number to collect points by joining boots.com. You will find yourself on their mailing list then and can see your points total online. To add your online points to your card simply insert it into the advantage card machine 14 days after your online purchase and the points will magically appear!

OK, so youve collected your points and now wish to spend them instore. The points are redeemable on just about most things instore (the price tags have a * on all items that can be paid with using your points) but not yet online or in their opticians. Simply tell the cashier that you wish to use your points on the card to pay.

So basically they are a good idea. They cost you nothing. Keep it handy as youll be suprised how often you do actually 'pop' into Boots.

Dont forget to update your details should you move or change email address.

Summary: Apply now it cant hurt
