Boots Advantage Card
I was persuaded at the start of the year to sign up and get a boots advantage card by a friendly member of staff. As a guy I don't buy all that much stuff in boots and really and didn't think I would need one or benefit from it. After a bit of convincing and in part so I could just get on with my day I signed up for one there and then. I got my first points immediately with the lunch I was I trying to buy.
About boots advantage card
Boots claim that their card is this most rewarding advantage card in the UK. The card itself is free. It's a white card about the same size as a credit card with the blue boots logo on the front. Points can be added by making purchases and swiping the card at the point of sale. Currently boots reward you with 4 points for every pound spent.
Points can also be collected whilst shopping online and in the past I have seen boots offer 8 points per pound for customers using this option. Also you can check your points balance online. The points can be saved up to buy purchases but the price of the product must be equal too or less that the product you want to buy. For instance you cant use your points to get £20 off a bottle of aftershave and put the money towards the rest.
My opinion
I agree that this is one of the best reward/loyalty cards out there. Before I never really shopped in boots but now I make an effort to buy the majority if not all of my toiletries in boots. In the first nine months of this year I have racked up 1770 points which is pretty good going.
I like the fact that points can be collected and viewed online. I also like the booth in certain stores that you can enter your card in. This will then look at the data on your card and show a number of exclusive offers adapted to your tastes. I have seen the booth offer me free products such as vitamins.
Overall I have been really impressed by this card and boots in general. Even if you don't buy much toiletries you should still get one of these free cards as the points quickly rack up.
Summary: Best reward card available bar none
