Advantages: Collect points, make money back on your shopping
Disadvantages: None
I have had my Boots Advantage Card for years and completley love it! When you purchase items from Boots, you give your card to the staff member at the till and you can collect four advantage card points for every pound you spend.
This applys to most items that you buy both instore and online.
Make sure to look out in Boots when they sometimes have weekends or weeks when they offer extra Advantage card points so you can find they build up quite easily.
Dont make the mistake though of buying all your toiletries in Boots as sometimes these can be a lot cheaper in other places. I go in and use the Advantage Card machine and print out vouchers from the machines and this helps to build up your points total.
By the end of the year i usually have about £25 worth of points and spend these in the January Sales and treat myself. If you shop in Boots, it is definitely worth getting one of these.
They are free to get and you can end up treating yourself on different little items throughout the year. I carry mine in my purse every time i go out incase i need to pop into Boots to buy something.
Summary: Get one

- 25/09/09 It's a bit of a con to be honest. They might appear to be giving you 4% back but:
1 - The actual value is less than that because it's all in goods - so they're probably giving you about 2.75% back.
2 - Their prices are easily 4% higher than most of their competitors, generally.
It' s a great gimmick though! |
