Advantages: Great points for spends

Disadvantages: You can't part pay with your points, unlike some other loyality cards.

I think everyone has one of these cards. Even my boyfriend has his own, and he really hates Boots. (But when you're forced to linger around the Benefit counter for 30 minutes every Friday, I can understand why.)

Getting your Boots Advantage card could not be easier, fill in some boxes, push out your temporary paper card, post off your infomation and you're flying solo.

The Boots advantage card is said to be the most generous loyalty card in the country, at 4 points (4p) to every pound spent the money does tally up pretty quickly. Even more quickly if you take full advantage of the Card Machine.

There's an Advantage card machine in almost every Boots - even my little local one boasts a few - just pop your card in and the touch screen menu flashes up with your monthly offers. It's more often than not things like '50 points when you buy any Botantics product', so only good if you're after something specific. But every now and then you do get a chance to bag a freebie, but then you need to act fast because these (of course) go like the clappers.

I think the most typical thing to do with your points in save them up through out the year then use them for either, your favourite perfume or to use when shopping at Christmas.

My only downside to this card is that you can't part pay for something with the points, you have to have the full amount to get your little reward!

But bar that, it seems like Boots have covered almost everything with this, the amount of points you get for spends are fantastic, they always seem to have great offers or extra point deals on. And you can use your points to buy anything your heart desires.. or at least anything your heart desires from Boots.

So if you haven't got yourself one, what are you waiting for? Even if you don't shop at Boots all too often I'm sure they'll still be something the card can do for you.
