Advantages: Generous points per pound and offers

Disadvantages: None

The Boots Advantage Card is a well thought out scheme. Boots have recognised that unlike at a supermarket their customers are not likely to be spending hundreds of pounds a month at Boots (although with the increasing size of their online shop this is becoming more of a possibility).

In view of this they give a massive 4 loyalty points per £1, which is widely advertised as the most rewarding loyalty scheme and certainly the most generous I've seen, especially as they stick to the traditional 100 points = £1 reward value so this is not just a gimmick. In addition to this they provide plenty of opportunities for bonus points or double points especially if you join one of their clubs (I'm in the parenting club, there is also a health club and possibly others).

This means that despite not spending huge amounts of money in Boots I can still build up enough points to help out with christmas shopping or to get myself a treat. I think they also allow you to spend your points in other ways but I only spend them in the shop.

Summary: Well worth getting if you do any shopping at Boots.

I keep meaning to join this! There's no Boots in my home town, though, which doesn't help...
