Boots Advantage Card
Advantages: Too many to mention.
Disadvantages: None I can think of.
The basic idea of the Advantage Card is that you use it every time you shop, and every ￡1 you spend on your shopping, equates to 4 points on your card. Then as the points add up, every 100 points on your card gives you ￡1 to spend on whatever you want. Simple as that! So you are getting something back even if it's only a little at a time. But there are always chances to increase your points intake with vouchers that allow you to do so. You can also make use of the kiosks available throughout Boots stores, where you can see what extra offers are available to you as an advantage card user. Also you are often sent vouchers through the post as another extra advantage. The vouchers you receive in the post, or can print from the kiosks, vary on what it gets you. Some are for extra points when you buy a certain product, a product from a certain brand, if you spend a certain amount on one transaction, or a double points voucher to use on anything. Also money off products, and buy one get one free.
When you have saved up enough points, you can use those points to buy something for free! (Just as long as you have enough points to cover the cost of the item) I often use mine to buy makeup, shampoo etc. Or skincare. Saving up points doesn't take as long as you might think. If you're a frequent shopper, and use extra points coupons whenever they're available, then the points soon add up. What's more, you can now shop online on Boots Treat Street, and get extra advantage card points for doing a bit of retail therapy at places like New Look. So you can tell, for the shopaholic the points really do add up!
One of the great things I've found to be an advantage with this card, is that it can be a good way to try out new products. I'd really wanted to try out the Rimmel 1000 kisses lip tint, but didn't want to waste money on it just in case I didn't like it. Having enough points on my Advantage card, I decided to use the points on there to pay for it. That way I wouldn't feel like I'm actually spending any money, so I practically got it for free! The advantage card is also good for when you've spent all of your wages, but really need that face cleanser you just used the last of. If you have enough points, then fear not, your advantage card can pay for it for you! Also, if you're a customer of Boots opticians, they can give you points on your card too, as part of their contact lens scheme etc. Yet another advantage to shopping for your essentials!
If you haven't gathered by now, there really are plenty of advantages to having an Advantage Card!
Summary: If you shop at Boots, then apply for an Advantage Card. You're missing out otherwise!
