Advantages: Not as many, as first appears!
Disadvantages: Can't spend them in part or on everything in store!
I sometimes wonder why exactly I signed up for this scheme. It's a great idea but if you are like me then you will get a little annoyed with it at times. Personally I find it irritating that you can't use the points to buy anything in store like other store cards allow you to do. I would prefer to be able to use my points to buy CD's or to get money off film processing but you can't and you have to pay for things in full not part. ie. if you wanted to buy a camera for say £80 you have to have £80 or more in advantage points, this annoyed me a lot and lost them a sale before xmas, why don't they get clued up and make the points more spendable as currently I have £60 in advantage points and nothing I want to buy! It's good if you like perfume as you can get that sort of stuff from them usually but I prefer to get mine when on holiday in France where it's Cheaper. So please just be aware that it can appear far better than it actually is in reality.

- 19/03/02 Hiya Melissa!
Thats completely true and I have to agree with you there. I went into my local Boots and wanted to buy a hairdryer which was £40. I had £20 in my advatage card and thought that it would be fine just to put £20 extra cash along with the points to make up the total amount...but I was certainy wrong. The cashier told me to come back when I had double the amount of points I already had! Grrrr! Boots, eh?
