I sometimes wonder why exactly I signed up for this scheme. It's a great idea but if you are like me then you will get a little annoyed with it at times. Personally I find it irritating that you can't use the points to buy anything in store like other store cards allow you to do. I would prefer to be able to ...  Read the complete review

Apparently it's called Cardsurfing... shopping around for the best credit cards. Surfer's delights include cards with a low APR (such as MBNA or RBS Advanta), cashback on purchases, such as Egg, or Cahoot, who offer 5% on balance transfers. Enter Boots Advantage. It's a credit card with a Boots loyalty card included. When you ...  Read the complete review

Its Sexist (and pink!). The Boots advantage card (this opinion refers to the non-credit card version) is a great way to get freebies, but it certainly seems to be biased more towards the females! I will expand more on that issue later, but for now, I should explain a little bit about the card, and its uses. Are you ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Only if You Shop Loads at Boots (130 words)

I got an advantage card when they first came out, because I shopped quite a lot at Boots. It's worthwile if you spend a lot of money in Boots. I don't like the new advantage card points they have in stores now. It's far easier to just redeem the points at the checkout as in other schemes, such as WH Smith's card. One point ...  Read the complete review

Boots Advantage Card: (Was)Worth while (318 words)
by - written on 06/12/00

Boots card is a good idea and I have one even though I do not shop there very often. It is that I personally find them expensive. I have another shop about two doors away from my local boots that sells brand name beauty items at a lot less. Even if I take the points in to consideration they are still not cheaper. But if you are ...  Read the complete review

I seem to have a pile of reward cards sitting in a mug at home. I remember a time when you could'nt buy a pencil without being thrust a reward card. They all seemed to work on the same principle - spend with us and we'll throw a few pennies your way - if you're lucky. One of those cards was the Boots Advantage card. Being a ...  Read the complete review

i find the boots card really useful and, despite the fact that i rarely seem to shop in boots, their very generous 4 points per pound are a great help when i'm shopping with my small children, as they often have a drink or a treat purchased by points. Boots have some great bits, photo developing is fab and to be rewarded on top of everything ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Boots - dont go anywhere else!! (233 words)

I got the Boots Advantage card the second it was announced as I could honestly spend hundreds in there if let loose! At 4 points for every pound you spend - the equivalent of 4p, I think it is the highest paying reward card out there. It works out as a saving of 4% on what you buy. I especially love it because you can use it in conjuction ...  Read the complete review

I recently signed up for a Boots Advantage card and I have been greatly impressed so far. I was Christmas shopping the other day and I got coupons from the machine as usual, printing off those wonderful discounts and free points! I walked out of the store that day with 500 bonus points for things I was going to buy anyway, like bubble bath for my ...  Read the complete review

OK, In short, boots advantage card is the best reward scheme i have ever seen. You get 4p back in the pound, and they round it up, so if you spend 1p you still get 1p worth of points, as it is rounded up to 25p. The advantage card is now coupled with egg.com, so you can have three flavours of card... -the classic card, ...  Read the complete review

I have had a Boots Advantage card for a couple of years and it is by far the best card, you really do get rewarded well, and un-like many other 'Advantage' cards you don't get coupons through the post, you just spend money and get money back, brilliant. Being a mum and trusty housewife I am responsible for the majority of the ...  Read the complete review

when the Boots reward scheme came out it was at the same time as many others. This at the time was the way to win customers and a lot of stores brought out their own versions. However it has to be said that Boots has really got the best one. I have had a card since they first came out and they are very easy to apply for, you simply fill out a ...  Read the complete review

If you buy most of your health and beauty products in Boots, then their loyalty card - the Advantage Card - is definitely worth getting. As with all loyalty cards, you receive points for every pound that you spend and these soon mount up over time. The standard rate for these cards is one point for every pound you spend, however with the ...  Read the complete review

I only have two reward cards that I use now, despite every shop seeming to offer one. But Boots and Sainsbury's are the only ones I've found worthwhile. Why? I did do my entire baby shopping at Tesco with my weekly shopping until I discovered the Boot’s Advantage card. They give 3 times more points than Tesco for every £1 and have loads more offers. Boots give 4 points in every pound that you spend (excluding medicines for legal reasons) and every point is worth 1p. They often do ...  Read the complete review

We've had a Boots reward card for a couple of years now and have found it to be quite worthwhile to use. Although we don't shop at Boots that often we were suprised at the speed that we managed to acrue points. Basically you get 4% of whatever you spend back as points, 1 point = 1p. Boots is a well known name and loved by many.
