... to be forking out a lot of money for things and figured I may as well try to get as much back as possible, so when I saw the cashback (thanks Martin Lewis!) offer I applied for this card.
It was then when the only difficulty and the reason why it doesn't get 5 stars happened. For some reason my application was turned down. I agree entirely with the previous review of Capital One. I have used this card without any problems whatsoever. It is linked to my First Direct Internet Banking plus (not all credit cards will) and I pay the total amount every month by just a transfer on my computer. This goes a long way to prove that not only Capital One is a great card, but it can be linked to the best all round financial control that you can use on line. I have no hesitation of giving 5 stars to both Capital One and also to First Direct Internet Banking (especially using the plus option).

It feels a bit odd reviewing a credit card, as they are so often viewed as an evil, perhaps a necessary evil, but an evil nonetheless. So my theory when looking into getting one of these evil things was to get one that at least was going to give me something back! The best thing about the Capital One World Mastercard is that it offers cashback on purchases. There was an introductory rate of 4% for all purchases during the first three months and then 1% for everything after those initial months.
