Capital one is the very worst financial company to deal with, their credit cards are deliberately aimed at people who struggle to get finance and therefore carry huge interest rates thus robbing the people who can least afford to pay.

My son got himself a credit card from this lot and found himself forever getting charges on his account for the silliest of things which most often were not his fault.

The first charge he got for instance was for going over his limit by £1.33, even though he had been told the card would not allow him to spend over his limit.

When he made the purchase his card was accepted therefore he though there must have been enough available credit to cover the spend as he had been told the card would be refused should he try to go over the limit set. The £1.33 he managed to go over by cost him a £15 charge.

He was also charged a late payment charge of £12 even though he had actually paid on the due date, Capital one told him because he had paid at a pay point it had taken a few days to clear and therefore not reached the account on time to avoid the charge.

Besides the charges there is also the huge interest levels set by this lot and they really are just a company to be avoided, unfortunately most credit card companies that will give cards to people with poor credit history are pretty much the same so you really need to try to keep a good credit history and deal with the reputable companies and banks for your credit.

Summary: Stay away from these daylight robbers.
