Advantages: Its plastic and can clear the windscreen of frost.
Disadvantages: No certainty they will provide continuous service
Capital One's customer relations suck.
Twice now in the past year they have called me to inform me that my card was being cancelled because their security people advised them that the card was at risk. But in neither case would they give me an explanation as to why, or which merchants were suspect. I went through recent transactions with them, which were all kosher, but they still said they had to stop the card and issue a new one which would take 7 to 10 days to arrive. On the first occasion (about 9 months ago) I went along with this, but the second time I have told them to cancel my account as I don't have this problem with my other credit cards. They then had the audacity to say that I would have to write in and cancel my account for this instruction to be accepted, despite them only having to telephone me to stop the card.
They already make it more difficult than many other card providers to use their card through the use of their secure code for internet transactions, so in the end its just not worth the hassle.
Don't get a Capital One card, its not worth the bother.
Summary: Card stopped and re-issued twice in a year due to "security" reasons they are unwilling to explain.
