Advantages: Unknown because CapitalOne are too secretive

Disadvantages: Poor security

CapitalOne fraud department is so daft it beggars belief. They told me there had been a possible fraud commited on my card.
A business I had dealt with;
may or may not have had a breach of security
may or may not be being investigated by CapitalOne
may or may not be being investigated by the police
may or may not still be trading
may or may not have fixed the problem and
may or may not try to defraud me again in the future.
The only thing that CapitalOne were sure of is that they would not tell me which business it was. How can I protect myself from fraud if CapitalOne refuse to pass on enough information for me to do so. Maybe the business were unlucky and had a dishonest employee. I don't know and neither does CapitalOne if what they told me was true. I suspect they know exactly what happened but are more concerned about protecting the business than they are about protecting me the customer. It's no wonder that so many millions are lost every year to credit card fraud.
Come on CapitalOne make a real effort to stop this crime.
