Advantages: no credit checks
Disadvantages: poor service to the customer
Capitol One credit cards As allways the usual stuf was shoved through the letter box and this time my wife decided to avail herself of a Capitol One credit card. At the same time she decided to get an additional one for our daughter who was at University. This was to be used in an emergency by our daughter which she agreed with and stuck too. She only used it after phoning to ask my wife if it was okay. The initial limit given was for a very limited £400, but my wife thought this would work out because she believed there would be no problem keeping the account in credit by paying money in at intervals when needed and not just after receiving her account. How wrong she was!! She tried every method to pay money in but it always seemed to arrive after the limit was exceeded and extra charges were incurred. We even went to the bank quoted as that used by Capitol One and paid cash but then we had to pay a fee to the bank for processing it. When this was done we were then told it would take at least a week for it to go through in fact it took longer. We could have sent a cheque quicker but the only problem with that is you only get one paying chit per month and Capitol refused to send additional slips. Thankfully she has now been to see her bank and they immediately gave her a Visa card with a limit of £1000 after checking her record with the bank. So all I can say is never think these people who want your service are thinking about your welfare and continued faithfulness.
