Advantages: choice of card design, cashback option

Disadvantages: interest rate is not as advertised, cahsback is flimsy!

Beware! Capital one is all gimmick. The online application process is easy and you can even pick a groovy card format from the range of lovely colours and designs - but you have to ask if this is not just a way of distracting you from the business at hand. The promise of a low interest rate and introductory offer is a good hook for most of us, particualrly if you want to tranfer over an existing balance - but be warned to read the fine print when the contract arrives. The great interest rate disappears, and I discovered my final application had a 5% increas in interest due to my potential spending habits! How they could possibly know this from the online questions I do not know....some things are just too good to be true.
