This is a review of the Capital One "Classic Visa" 34.9% credit card, exclusively designed for those that wish to improve their credit rating. Before I begin my review of the card, I should issue a warning for those of you thinking of applying. Please remember, credit cards are just that: cards that operate on temporary ... CapitalOne fraud department is so daft it beggars belief. They told me there had been a possible fraud commited on my card. A business I had dealt with; may or may not have had a breach of security may or may not be being investigated by CapitalOne may or may not be being investigated by the police may or may not still be ... I applied for a Capital One card as one of my first ever credit cards. As long as you are over 18, resident in the UK and have not been bankrupt you are pretty much guaranteed to be approved for one of their standard cards. Many people use it as a credit building card if they have previously had bad credit as most people receive a low ... Read the complete review

I do have alot of problems with credit card companies in general due to having owned a few in the past. From Capital one to Mastercard and I can not say any of them vary really in their codes of condut. I will definately say that capital one have got to be the worst they send you their cards even if you are not working how can they be ... Read the complete review

We have a Capital One platinum credit card which we have had for several years. We liked the fact that they have id fraud protection, as someone who has been a victim of this in the past it was important to me. Also their low interest rate of 9.9% was very appealing, be ware though this doesn't last (more on that later!) ON fraud ... Read the complete review

The capital one credit card was something I needed out of necessity just after I graduated as student. It is a card I regret having for a couple of basic reasons. First of all the high interest rate. When your a little younger you do view money as something to worry about later on. Especially when your living the dream at University. ... Read the complete review

Hi have been a customer with Capital One for around 4 years now. My experiance of them has not been a good one. Their customer service is rubbish with only overseas call centres to answer your questions. Rececently I had time off of work due to a motorcycle accident and ended up incurring £25 of charges even after i explained why i ... Read the complete review

Capital One's customer relations suck. Twice now in the past year they have called me to inform me that my card was being cancelled because their security people advised them that the card was at risk. But in neither case would they give me an explanation as to why, or which merchants were suspect. I went through recent transactions with ... Read the complete review

Capital One are a horrible company to deal with. Having had a card with them for several years I am once and for all getting rid of it this summer once my balance on it is clear. It may seem like a great thing to do get a credit card but trust me they are all out for your money. Interest rates are (if you are have a great credit rating ... Read the complete review

This is a horrible organisation and I would hate to actuially owe them any money. I tried to get help for my terminally ill relative in so far as I would pay the bill. They hounded them with letters and demands for more and more information despite there not being any balance. When they recently died Capitlal One would not accept a copy of the death certificate despite a nil balance and that the same photocopy was acceptable to the passport office, DVLA and MINT credit card. The letter to me even went so far as to suggest that money was owed. would be ashamed to work for this wicked outfit and you must avoid them at almost any cost.

I have been with capital one now for over 2 years and this is what I think of them. To apply its incredibly simple, you can apply online and the questionnaire they'll get you to fill in takes no more then 10 minutes. I also got a response within 10 minutes of applying and woo hoo! I was accepted for the card! The forms were ... Read the complete review

Having been a credit card owner through Capital One for the past 2 years, I can honestly say I cannot wait till my business with them is done and my balance is clear. Capital One was offering a 0% credit card, and after my sister pointed out to us that we were paying a lot of money in interest each month, we decided to apply for their credit card and save some money. I think these 0% credit cards are a brilliant idea, just so long as you repay the original debt on them, and not be tempted to actually use them ... Read the complete review

Capital one offers both credit cards and savings accounts. I haven't used their savings products but looking at the site there are no spectacular rates. I have had a basic Ca1 credit card for just over 2 years and have enjoyed excellent, efficient service. The online acc management is comprehensive, showing both statements and ... My wife has a Capital One Premier credit card and has done for quite some time without any problems. She opted for Capital One as it is a basic credit card, no real bells or whistles with this particular card, no inducements to perhaps overuse the card in order to gain such incentives as nectar points, air miles or similar. The interest ... Read the complete review

Capital one is the very worst financial company to deal with, their credit cards are deliberately aimed at people who struggle to get finance and therefore carry huge interest rates thus robbing the people who can least afford to pay. My son got himself a credit card from this lot and found himself forever getting charges on his account ... Read the complete review

I've had a Capital One card for a few years now. This is my 2nd time at having a card from them and they are alright I guess. I read a few reports of how they aren't very good, and yes I admit I haven't been entirely happy with everything they have ever done, but that's nothing new. I first applied for a Card in April 2003. If, like me, you're one of those boring people who pays off their CC in full every month Capital One CIRCLE is for you. Each year they credit your account with 0.5% of everything you have spent that year. In addition, their security is excellent. They will telephone you the SECOND that their system detects an unusual transaction - in my case someone in Germany wanting £700 for internet gaming!
They also telephoned me regarding a request from a company in India which I confirmed was genuine. Probably not a good bet for anyone who wants to run up debts ("Credit Card" - now there's a misnomer if ever there was one!).

Following a divorce several years ago and having got into a few problems with credit as a result I took a conscious decision to get rid of all lines of credit I had available to me. So one night I cut up all 14 of my credit cards (with a total available balance of 105,000 believe it or not) and negotiated a reduced rate with all of the card ... Read the complete review
