Advantages: You can go as often as you want to the cinema, for one monthly price.

Disadvantages: No online booking.

Please note, this review is for the card that excludes London's West End Cinemas. That card is more expensive (£14.99).

I invested in a Cineworld Unlimited Card about 3 years ago, and I wouldn't be without it now.

The premise is simple - you pay £11.99 a month (it was £10.99 when I first got it, so the price hasn't gone up that much in that time) and you can go to the cinema as often as you want. You recieve a credit card sized pass that has your photograph on it, and a barcode, and you simply hand this to the cashier at the box office. This is swiped, and your tickets are provided. There's no restriction on what you watch/where you can sit - it's just like paying in cash.

Cineworld is currently charging over £7 a ticket at my local cinema, so it really makes sense to have one if you're going to go a lot.

In a way, the Cineworld Card is a false saving - I tend to go a lot more often than I would, simply because I have a card. Since I bought my partner a card, we have gone to the cinema at least once a week, if not more. While this does mean that you may end up spending more per month than you usually would on the cinema, it does mean you are more likely to experiment in what you watch - after all, it costs 'nothing'.

You cannot book tickets online with the Cineworld Unlimited Card, which I feel is a flaw - after all, each card is printed with a barcode, so it should be easy enough to do.

Getting a Cineworld Card is easy enough - you can either do it online, or ask for a form at the cinema. You can also buy a Cineworld Unlimited voucher, and pay for a full year's subscription for someone, which is an excellent gift, although expensive at £143.88. All you need to provide are passport photos, and your bank details. You recieve a temporary (Cardboard) card, and recieve the real plastic one about 10 days later.

I'd recommend it for movie goers, and anyone who wants to cheapen the cost of going to the cinema.

Summary: The only sensible option to go for if you go to the cinema a lot.

I have one of these, they're great, but it's annoying you can't book films in advance with them!
