Advantages: Unlimited films (for a price)

Disadvantages: Barely any other perks, unable to pre book films, unable to get tickets before others as before

I have had this card since the dark ages when it was the UGC Unlimited Card, and it was simply great - there was a box office I could go to to get my tickets without having to queue, I got a temporary card shaped card right away with a decent photo taped to it whilst I waited for the proper one in the post, and it was all £9.99 a month for as many films as I could see in a year.

Now it's the Cineworld Unlimited Card, and it has been a different experience for a long while.

The box office is long forgotten - I have to queue with other people and there is no ability to pre-book tickets - which is a service that is offered to normal customers who don't have the card. If I want to see Prometheus this Friday (which I do!) I have to go to the cinema and try to book my ticket along with the masses of other people also trying to do the same thing before the film, whilst the more savvy "normal" cinema goers without the card can easily pre-book their's - hardly fair, really.

It's also been going up in price every year - they will say this is because of the rising prices of films, but I imagine they're trying to make some decent money off the cards, since the current £179 a year isn't going to dent the price of the equal amount of films a person with a card sees if they went without. It's £14.99 a month at present and we don't really get much out of it, other than unlimited films for a price.

There has been vague mention of offers if we keep buying it year after year - but apparently this only works if you buy said card on a rolling monthly basis, rather than how I prefer to buy it - the yearly lump sum (which also offers no discount for paying upfront as opposed to monthly), so I wouldn't be able to get any of these discounts (on the incredibly pricey food).

Summary: An okay card, as long as you don't mind not having the same benefits as "normal" film goers
