Advantages: Great reward scheme

Disadvantages: Can't use as part payment

I live right by a Costa Coffee shop which is incredibly bad for the bank balance, however thanks to the costa coffee club card I can ease the guilt of my coffee addiction by earning loyalty points.
The cards can be picked up in any costa shop and when you register them online you get 100 bonus points, which is equivalent to one pound to spend in store. You can then earn points on any food or drink purchase, at a rate of 5 points per full pound spent. This is effectively a 5% cashback rate for purchases which I think is great. In addition to this, I regularly get emails which are informing me about promotions etc instore and if I click a link it registers me for double points on all points earned that month which is great. Another great email I got was for a free coffee, I clicked the links and they simply added the points to my card!

You cannot use your points as part payment, you must have the full amount of points on your card to cover the cost of your food or drink which does mean it can take longer to see the fruits of your labour so to speak! I think if you are even the occasional coffee drinker it is worth picking up this card, it doesn't cost anything to join and it is a good loyalty scheme.
The full details can be found on the Costa website, where details are also given for helpline numbers for any queries you may have.

I love Costa coffee and so am happy they have launched this card and would thoroughly recommend you all go and register too!

Summary: A good loyalty scheme worth using if you visit Costa
