idt prepaid debit card- great in theory- no credit checks- no bank account needed but are able to use it to pay in the way you would with a credit or debit card. you can get them from newsagents or visit idt on internet. i got mine from a newsagent and it cost 3.00 pound then i put 10.00 pound on it, with this card you can register it use it then bin it or upgrade it to a reloadable card so you can keep topping up like a mobile phone.
fees are quite expensive 80 pence loading fee and 50 pence for using it, but on a good note it is a safe way to pay for things on line over the phone etc after all you are not giving your bank details which makes it extra safe, you just put on the card what you are going to need and you cant overspend.also great for kids so they havent got to carry cash around and if they loose it you can stop the card
