I want to warn others, of how easy it is to have money stolen from your account by a Credit Card.
I had my Bank statement through, and it told me that £2810.00 had been used on four seaparate occasions.
The first one was for £1060.00,
second one for £800.00
third/fourth 425.00 each time. upon ringing the bank they assumed I had organised this, but did not check the amount over £1000.00 before releasing it, they said it could take
upto 5 days before starting to look into this matter, I did my own searches, took the info to the police and to the bank, who took over, found the person involved, I did get my money back, but was not told if the fraudster was prosecuted. This could easily happen to anyone, please be aware in future
that all shops must have credit card machines in their premises where YOU the customer can see them putting the card through, not to take them behind their shop BECAUSE that is where they copy your details
and forge your signature.
