Advantages: No annual fee, distinctive card, cash back

Disadvantages: You still have to pay back what you have spent!

I have had an Egg Credit Card for over a year now and would recommend it to everyone.

It was quick and easy to apply online, I was accepted in minutes and given my credit limit online.

I have set it up so they take my full balance every month by direct debit, that saves loads of time and not to mention a stamp every month! I can look at my statements and balance online at any time, and easily update any personal details.

Although I choose to pay it off in full each month, I believe the interest rate is very competitive and beats a lot of normal personal loans.

Whats more there is cash back of 1%. It is surprising how it adds up. I use my card for all my car expenses, going out, insurance, food etc and I got over £50 cash back last year, for doing pretty much nothing!

To top it all off the card is very distinctive and snazzy looking - green on both sides, including the magnetic strip and a microchip on the front. Several cashiers have commented how unusual it is!
