Advantages: Easy to apply, Instant decision fast service.

Disadvantages: N/A

I recently signed up for an Egg Card online and I have to say I found the experience exciting and rewarding.

I have seen Egg advertised in many places, including the national TV but never really checked them out until recently, and I'm pleased I did. What attracted me was the introductory rate of 0% APR for six months on balance transfers and purchases and only 12.9% after the six month period.

I have a Barclay Card and did pay 26.9% APR, thats more than double than what I now pay at Egg!

I did say I found the experience rewarding, as I have saved money, but I also said it was exciting and very rarely do I find a credit card exciting! Here's why:

If you wish to apply for an Egg card, you apply online. What I didn't realize is how easy it is to do. Just filled in some basic details, including where I work and gross anual income and then, the moment of truth, an instant decision appeared in front of me. Wow! I didn't expect that, I though I would have had to wait for a week or more before I got a decision, let alone what credit limit I can apply for. The next day, the credit agreement appeared on my doormat, what an efficient service. Within a week of applying, I received my card and had transferred my outstanding barclaycard balance on to my Egg Card and began to save money, hooorayy!!

My advice is; if you are paying in excess of 13% APR on your credit card, you should really consider changing over to Egg, you won't be disappointed.
