**UPDATED**DIGITAL TV EGG CARD**

I am posting a quick update to let you all know that for those of you with or about to get an Egg Card, you can now access your account on TV, if you have Sky Digital. You can check your balance, view your recent statements (last 3) and monkey around with some of the other stuff (pay money in, transfer other balances, etc, etc) You'll find them on "Open...." which should mean something if you've got Sky already. Saves firing up the PC to check it out. Oh yeah, you get your savings accounts on their too.

** END OF UPDATE **

I have had an Egg Card now for just under a year, and despite being a little dubious, I have had nothing but a great experience with it.

One of the key things that would strike people now is th great rates you get on it. And let's be clear - Yes, the introductory rates are very low (not mentioned here as they change from time to time) but the standard variable rates are excellent too. Until recently they were 10.9%, and even though they have raised this, it is still a veryy affordable 11.9% - compare that to some of the other cards available and you'll be pleasantly surprised.

There are two things more to mention about the Card, though. Firstly the cashback you earn. 1% on everything you spend, wherever you spend it, and 2% if you use it to pay for goods through Egg Shop. You can watch your cashback accrue on your statement.

Secondly, Egg have recently launched Egg Wallet, which immediately becomes available once you open your Egg Card account. The Egg Wallet allows you to shop on the internet without ever giving your card details to the retailer. What's more, you can fill your wallet with any other debit or credit cards you have, and then choose to use those when paying for your goods. Egg Wallet also earns cashback every time you use it (on top of any you earn using your Egg Card).

So if you're one of the many people
worried about giving your Card details to retailers online, stop worrying - you have no more excuses.

The one downside is that you have to pay monthly - making additional payments in the interim is very difficult, and I think they may charge you for that, too.
