After seeing an advert on the internet for an Egg card which gives you 0% interest for 6 months and then an eggcellent (this is the first of many, so get used to it!) 9.9% APR there onwards. All this with the convinience of banking online? Too good to be true...

No. It's absolutley true. Applying for an Egg card is simplicity itself. You can go to their webpage and apply online for an instant decision or you can apply over the phone. Once you are approved for a card, you will be sent a contract to sign and then about a week later you will be sent your shiny new green card.

Egg have a fantastic reward scheme too, you recieve 1% cashback for all goods you purchase and 2% cashback for purchases made through the Egg shop. This is a section of their website where they list a wide selection of stores that you can shop with online and receive that extra 1%. Bargain!

You can maintain your account online by logging into your account. Once you are logged in you can check your balance, check your transactions, statements, make extra payments, set up a regular payment by direct debit and contact Egg by E-Mail incase you have any problems with thier website. The only problems i have ever had is that sometimes their pages don't download properly or too slowly, which can be a little irratating when you are trying to look at your transactions.

Balance transfers at the moment are also interest free for the first 3 months so if your eggsisting (again) credit card is too costly then you can transfer your balance online which takes all of about 5 minutes.

The fact that you can bank anytime of the day really appeals to me as i have very strange sleeping habits and sometimes have the urge to check a balance at 4:00 a.m in the morning!

Their customer service support is eggcellent and they really do make you feel like a valued customer and always do their best to solve your problems (not that i have had many).
