Advantages: Online balance, Detailed billing, Very secure

Disadvantages: Charge for phoning

I have had an egg card for four years and have had no trouble. Being able to view your account instantly has got to be the biggest advantage. I you're afraid of dealing with money over the internet don't be, I have 100% confidence in Egg's security. Their logging in process is lengthy, therefore impossible for someone else to log into your account (except your wife maybe). You can also see all your detailed purchases within a day or so of making them. The only down side is if you want to talk to them on the phone, they charge you about £2, however that'll only be if your card is stolen. Their interest charges are ridiculously low (see below), but they will try to give you a higher limit than you want. In my opinion an Egg card is a must.
APR 12.6% (Variable) 0% on new purchases and transfers for a fixed period. after that 13.9% standard rate, but higher on cash withdrawerals (+ handling fee). The minimum monthly payment is just £5, and they charge £2 for Statements through the post. The usual terms apply, must me 18 or over and so on...
I hope my revised opinion is more informative.

Like Julie says, I'm sure that there's lots more that you could have told us!

Some interesting features here but would love to know more about interest rates, fees and incentives if there are any. Thanks for the info, Julie x
