I have had an Egg savings account for a couple of years (ish) now and I find that the internet site is a quick and easy way to keep track of your money and sometimes lack of it. I am able to log on and transfer money from other accounts into my savings and vice versa which means that I dont have to write cheques and wait for them to clear etc. If I need money for something I can transfer into my normal bank account and it will be available within 3 days, which is very good, and again you dont have to wait for a cheque in the post.

I would recommend the Egg savings account as you dont need a very complicated paying in book like some places, and you only need to keep £1 in at any one time, so for those tight months, its very supportive.
