Don't get a egg card unless you pay the bill at the end of the month. They are very expensive and the APR works out higher than advertised. They are one of the most expensive cards on the market and they don't mind hicking the interest rate up for no reason at all, except they want more profit. Avoid you are warned!!!!!!

Credit cards are aiming to be more and more competitive. It’s a sign of the times, and it’s fantastic news for the consumer. Credit card spending is now recognised as a powerful retail tool, no more so than for online shopping where having a credit card is virtually essential. Egg was one of the first financial institutions to cater solely for ... Read the complete review

I've had a egg card for a number of years -and have been very impressed. What initally appealed was the on-line access to the account, the low APRand the cashback rate. A few years on - I still use it regulary - althought the cashback has shrunk. As a bonus - EGG give you 0% on balance transfers on the aniversary of you ... Read the complete review

I took out an Egg card a few years ago after being recommended by a friend. On the first day that I used the card, I was advised by the retailer that the card was not going through. A friend paid my bill. On calling Egg to find out what the problem they were very helpful and agreed to pay the funds into my bank account within 48 hours. To date ... Read the complete review

I took out an Egg credit card about 2 years ago now. This came about from a recommendation from someone after I was looking for something cheaper than my expensive Barclaycard. After checking out the Egg website I had no doubts that this was the next credit card on my list. I say on my list as I am one of these people that won’t stick with a ... Read the complete review

Egg was one of the first internet banks, and they were one of the first to introduce the 0% APR for 6 months. Egg is also one of the few banks who allow you to transfer balances from overdrafts and store cards, as well as credit cards. Very handy for reducing the overdraft! Egg also has a very competitive interest rate, currently ... Read the complete review

I’m not a big credit card user – too sensible for that! The threat of debts and fraud scare me too much, so usually I’ll stick to good old cash. There are times nowadays, though, when you simply have to have the old plastic – ordering concert tickets on the phone is a prime example. I’ve also had to use a ... Read the complete review

After purusing the available options when it comes to credit cards, few stood out with as many pluses as the Egg Card. After applying through the internet which as always is a personal and intrusive method (leaving bank details for example), I had to wait seven days for the information to come through. Upon the information arriving (2 ... Read the complete review

I always think that one of the most unfair things about life is that people only ever complain when something goes wrong. So I read this review about "Egg Internet bank - what a nightmare" and decided to share my experiences. I have been a customer for about 3 years. I have got rid of all my other cards and use this one ... Read the complete review

The only real problem I have with my egg card is the amount of credit I have! To be precise, 1000% of the limit of my existing card. I've found them to be really helpful, and the rates excellent even if I have only had the willpower to pay it off in full a few times. It's probably my lack of self control, but the statements do ... I did think of setting up a website to encourage people to donate their hard earned cash to pay off my credit card. Does anyone remember the girl who did just that? Her website is www.savekaryn.com and she paid off her $20,000 credit card bill with donations from strangers and selling some old stuff on ebay. Amazing. But then I thought, no, ... Sorry couldn't resist the pun! Egg have done well with this card, and they've grown their market share dramatically over the past 2 years. This shows how good their card is in itself. APPLICATION Obviously, you can apply over the internet(www.egg.com). However the Consumer Credit Act states that you have to sign for ... Read the complete review

After some debate i decided after many years in the Credit card wilderness i would obtain a credit card. The reason for this is that for years i had found it increasingly more difficult to get a cinema seat or change for the car park the list is endless and silly in some respects. I've written about this at length in the "Banks" section, but just a short warning. Egg are fine as long as you don't try and do anything a bit complicated, or god forbid, try and pay off your balance. I tried to clear my debt two weeks ago and now have bank charges of £50. I have been a reasonably happy Egg customer for about 12 months. <br> Five weeks ago my father died - his name is similar to mine. We have an Egg credit card. We can bank online with all the usual features (though Egg appears to have spend some time making the whole thing quite witty). When I needed a good interst rate for my current Credit Card Balance, Egg was one of the heavyweights in the market. This is because they make a lot of noise in the media and they are very predominant.
