I have had an egg card for four years and have had no trouble. Being able to view your account instantly has got to be the biggest advantage. I you're afraid of dealing with money over the internet don't be, I have 100% confidence in Egg's security. Their logging in process is lengthy, therefore impossible for someone else to log ... There are quite a few opinions on this little bit of plastic so I will do my best to give you a balanced view from my own experience. I am glad to say that I had no problems whatsoever with the online application and received all the necessary paperwork and the card within a short space of time. I find online applications much better ... Read the complete review

I orginally joined the Egg credit card when I searched around the web sites looking for a cheap credit card, with NO ANNUAL fee. After considering a few cards such as RBS Advanta, Marbles, LloydsTSB Gold, Barclaycard and Egg, I decided to plump for Egg Credit Card. My reasons were : six months interest free credit on balance ... Read the complete review

I have had my egg card for about two years. There were considerable problems with opening the account and, after receiving four cards, I got one that worked. I pay the balance off each month and so the chance to receive 1% back was very attractive. But, like many other financial institutions, once they have your business they reduce the ... The sad truth is, running your credit card online is more inconvenient than doing it by post: you have to go through a tedious login process to view your statement, put up with the inevitable website delays and, of course, do the form-filling for the switch in the first place. Should you bother? Let me say at the outset that, like many ... Read the complete review

Like many people I was sure that the idea of an Internet based credit card was one which would normally be greeted with a certain degree of scepticism but after being frustrated with the lack of flexibility of a student Barclaycard and the red tape needed to amend various aspects of my account I decided to chance it. I have had the card ... Read the complete review

I have only had my egg card for two months. The reason I chose it was that it is interest free for the first 6 months. However, this is something to be wary as it does give you more incentive to spend beyond your means due to the fact that at the moment it is interest free.I know as I have already done this!! I realise that when the interest free ... Read the complete review

Egg is the new online bank with the silly name which was set to break the mould of British banking by giving value for money. Launched three years ago by insurance giant Prudential, it offered banking, investments, insurance and online shopping - and a promise not to fleece its customers like the rest of the banking cartel. It ... Read the complete review

A credit card is a credit card, isn't it? They're all much the same, aren't they? They all go into shops and spend more money than you intended and then ask you for the cash once you've forgotten that you spent the money in the first place. Well they all work on the same basis but some are better than others and this is one of ... Read the complete review

As I am sure most egg card users know, the cashback has been reduced from 1% to 0.5%. I think this is a bit of scandal seen as this was one of the major selling points for the card when it was first issued. I think all egg card users should look at the Halifax cashback credit card or American Express blue card because they both offer 1% ... Read the complete review

I have had the Egg Credit Card since the early days, when egg was launched. In this time I have not had a bad experience. All I can possibly say is that I recommend it to all. The APR is variable, but very competative. The introductory is 0% at present, with a standard 12.9% APR after 6 months. Egg offer 1% cash back on all ... Read the complete review

If a Company upsets you I am all for telling them to stick their business and go elsewhere. Of course, don't burn your bridges before you have found an alternative, but boycotting is a powerful weapon. So Egg have cut their cash-back to half percent. It's a shame because they have conducted my account without any hiccups. I have ... Read the complete review

I have had an EGG card now virtually since the day they were launched. Never had any problems whatsoever. Website is smooth and easy to navigate, althjough occasionally a tad slow. All email questions are answered within 24 hours. My only gripe is that the cashback offer is being reduced from 1% of total spend to 0.5%. Unfortunately this was the ... Read the complete review

I'm very disappointed to hear from egg that they're cutting the cashback from 1 or 2% to just 0.5% from 11th October. What really surprises me is their attempt at justifying it, saying they've been 'listening to you guys' (their customers) and that they "...want you to get the most from your Egg Card so we have ... I have had a grand total of 2 credit cards in my 3 years of credit status, and of these cards (and the other cards I have considered) Egg has been the best card going. They have a lot to offer! Egg gave me my second ever credit card and I have very few complaints about it. I only got a credit card in the first place, because it is an easy way to pay for things on the internet. I have been an Egg customer for quite a few years now – I joined soon after they started, with those fantastic interest rates on their savings account. I have had an Egg credit card from the very beginning. The main advantage for me personally is being able to keep track of my spend online using the online statement facility.
