Advantages: Great looking card, easy to sign up too, money back on your purchases.

Disadvantages: £3.00 to buy.

The Game Reward Card is offered by 'Game' the company who specialise in selling games consoles, games, accessories etc for miscellaneous consoles (Xbox, XBox 360, Wii, DS, DSi, GameBoy Advance, GameCube, PC, PS2, PS3 etc) at a cost of £3.00 (correct as of April 2009).

For each purchase that you make either in a Game store or from the website, game.co.uk you will be rewarded with 2.5% of your purchase back in the form of points which are added to your Reward card and are then built up until you get money off future purchases in increments of £2.50.

Although you have to pay £3.00 for the card, providing you are going to spend more than £150 in the time that 'Game' is around for then there really is nothing to lose by buying one of these cards and saving up the points.

I have had my card for a number of years (5 or so) and have had a fair few pre-owned games for free (they normally have deals such as 3 for £10 or 4 for £20 etc).

The card can be applied for either on-line or by visiting your nearest Game store and requesting a form or even asking for it when you get to the check out and they will sort everything out for you there and then.

My best recommendation for using this card is that you shop around and check the different retailers (HMV, Gamestation, Game, local store etc) and then if Game are the cheapest or the same price I would advise using them to purchase your game, console etc and then you will at least earn some reward card points in the process!

If I am with friends/relatives and they want to buy something I'll get them to browse Game and then providing they don't have a card I can just get the points myself! I once was even cheeky enough to mention to someone in the queue that I had a card (once they've refused buying one) and I got their points (they were actually buying a console too so I did quite well out of it!).

If you visit the game website and apply for your card there then you can sign up to special offers and you will receive e-mail offers which will tell you about extra point promotions and if you pre-order your title on-line you will actually receive double points which equates to 5% back on your card.

Don't forget to use a cash back website as well and you could potentially get up to 10% of your spend back + Reward card points.

I am rating the Reward card 5/5 as for me it's fantastic. I am buying the items anyway and this way I get a little extra back. The card is easy to sign up for (online or in store) and I just keep it in my purse along with all the other cards I have so I don't really even need to remember it as I am always prompted at the till or it's used automatically online!

Summary: I would highly recommend this card for any avid gamers.

I'll get one of these when I have the time though I more than likely won't get any points!!!
