The Link was set up the mid 1980’s by an organisation of 40 + financial institutions and is essentially a shared network of cash machines which are distributed throughout the United Kingdom. The aim is to decrease the expansion costs for the alliance members and by extension, lower costs for their customers. I think the Link service for cash machines is great. You can get your money out of most hole in the walls. The only gripe I have is the charges that are being imposed at the moment. My bank charges me £1 everytime I use another machine, and sometimes the bank I have used will also charge me £1. Therefore, out of £10 I will only be getting £8!! Now if I don't manage to get my money out from my bank, I have to get cash back from the supermarket, but how long will it be before we get charged for that as well!! ...  Read the complete review
