Marks & Spencer Financial Services Credit Card

Marks & Spencer Financial Services

M&S don't charge a commission on foreign currency and in my experience their exchange rates are very competitive, and sometimes the best I can find. They will also buy back any foreign currency you don't use without charging any commission. But that's not all! If you buy foreign currency using your M&S credit card, you don't have to pay any interest on it. It's treated in the same way as any other purchase you make in the store, (even earning you M&S points) and you have an interest free period until the date on which the next bill is due. Thi... more

My M&S Credit Card is one of two cards that I use when I shop. For every pound spent, I receive one M&S point, and these points all add up and are transferred onto shopping vouchers which are sent to me at intervals. But where this credit card comes into its own is when I travel. M&S don't charge a commission on foreign currency and in my experience their exchange rates are very competitive, and sometimes the best I can find. Premium Review M&S Money - don't touch with a barge pole (494 words)

I took out a Marks & Spencer credit card thinking that with a good reputation behind them Marks & Spencers would have the same level of service in all of their products but this as one of my worst financial decisions yet. Each time I contacted M&S Money to try to do anything with my card I found very unhelpful and unfriendly staff and quickly became annoyed with this card so decided to get rid of this and so asked for how much I would need to pay to close the account only to be told that they could not generate a settlement quote until the next statement was produced and that as I would not get this for a few days it would then be out of date and so I would ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Marks & Spencer Financial Services: Money for nothing! (265 words)

My husband hates having credit cards, he's a 'pay in cash so we know where we're up to' kind of guy and hates owing anything to anyone. So when I heard about the M&S card it took some persuading but we signed up for it. We now pay for everything on it! It's great. You earn 1 point for every £1 spent at Marks & Spencer and 1 point for every £2 spent elsewhere, which is any where that accepts Mastercard. Each point equates to 1 penny, so 100 points would give you a £1 voucher to spend in M&S. It might not seem like a lot but it soon adds up. We pay for all our shopping, petrol etc on it, then pay it off in full at the end of the month. Every month ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Use as my primary credit card (250 words)

I have several Credit Cards and pay my balance off in full every month (although with my M&S card i have had a couple of late payments and will tell you in a minute what happened). I have been very pleased with my M&S Card and now use it as my main card as i feel the &More points add up quickly and i regularly get my money-off vouchers and also lots of 10% and 20% off certain categories of shopping in store ie. food, ladies lingerie, children's clothes, women's clothes, men's clothes etc... Although they have never said, i think you get the discount vouchers off the categories where you buy from i.e. they track your spending on your card. These ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Marks & Spencer Financial Services: If you shop in M&S already, this is the credit card for you (184 words)

I've had my Marks and Spencer '& More' card for a few years now. I think it's a great credit card for people who pay it off. If you don't, yes the interest rates are high, I've seen it go up 3% since I signed up. However, that's the same with most credit cards and as far as they go, I think this is one of the best on the market, that is, if you shop in M&S! The card gives you 2 points per pound spent on it in M&S and 1 point per pound spend on it anywhere else, and as it's a Mastercard it's accepted virtually everywhere worldwide. Your points are redeemed in the form of M&S vouchers that are sent to you quarterly. You can spend this as full or part ...  Read the complete review
