With so many types of credit card to choose from it can be a real minefield finding one which suits you. I have had a Mastercard for the past 5 years and have never had a problem with it. I think the best thing to do when choosing a credit card is to ask around for recommendations then do your research online.

Depending on what you need, balance transer, low interest, reward scheme etc. this will direct you towards the right card, and the one which will save you the most money.

I have phoned Mastercard on a number of occasions and each time they were great. Over the past 5 years I have lost 2 cards, each time I rang up my old card was stopped and a new card sent out free of charge. They also dont take a particularly long time to answer calls.

When someone does answer they have always been polite and helpful and very efficient.

My card has been very reliable and I have never been turned away from a store which is great. They also seem to be quite durable - no matter how much bashing it gets!

Overall I think Mastercard are a leading credit card company and would recommend them to anyone. I would however check out whether the deals they have at the minute would suit you.
