Advantages: None

Disadvantages: Abysmal customer service

I had a MBNA Conran Credit card which promised cashback (see countless websites if you do a search on Google). The credit card was closed down all of a sudden and, to cut a long story short, I have robbed out of receiving cashback on the card that I used for months.

I have literally wasted hours trying to get the cashback, but MBNA have come up with every excuse in the book, going so far as to explain on seven seperate occaisions that the Conran card never offered cashback in the first place. I told them to check on dozens of websites, but they refuse to listen to logic! I have never witnessed such appalling customer service in my life, just being passed from pillar to post with not one person willing to take responsibility.

What MBNA have done to me is basically take the money they promised. It's in the Terms and Conditions of the credit card. You know the word for that.

Summary: Shocked to see a company in the UK can get away with treating customers like this

I have a couple of MBNA cards at the moment. (Not cashback ones though)
They're a bit of a nightmare alright, always trying to sting you with late fees even when you pay on time.
I have a Ryanair card (free flight every 7 times you book with it) and the other card I took out simply to facilitate a credit transfer. (0% interest for 9 months)
