MBNA-- thanks a bunch (MBNA)
Member Name: elfinsue
Advantages: good 0% deals Disadvantages: inhuman approach Mbna do have some good deals but beware of being ripped off by the system. I paid off my mbna credit card in full and then cancelled the direct debit. Big mistake. They tried to take the next month's direct debit anyway, and when they couldn't they charged me so that my account was no longer paid off. When I queried this I was told that because a statement had been sent to me I should know that the direct debit was going to be taken. I said it should've been clear to them that I wasn't going to pay as I no longer owed them anything, but was told do you realise how many transactons go through every day, and do you really think we have time to check all the details before taking the direct debit that you've already been billed for? Well I said, ok, I can see how your system works now, but have a heart, from my point of view, you can surely see my point? No, she said, we are a business. End of conversation. Summary: Be careful the system doesn't rip you off |
