Worst advantage takers in the financial industry! (MBNA)

I WAS an MBNA customer for a few years. I got into some financial difficulties and they were pathetic with the help they offered. I also cleared my account in full, returned my card to them and put in writing to close the account......They are now looking for a further £1300 as they say it wasn't paid.....I have supplied my cheque number and when they cashed the cheque! Strange company, and after my own experiences with the company would not recommend this credit card to anyone, especially if your not in a position to pay your balance in full each month, which lets be honest, not many people can these day.
They are good at enticing you with 0% transfers and 0% interest on purchases, but at the end of the day the have a quota to fill and they will offer all sorts to get you signed up. Don't get me wrong they couldn't do enough as a new customer, but 6 months down the line.... their pleasant approach stopped as did all the perks that came with the card.

Summary: Don't go near this card unless you have the money to clear each monthly statement
