Advantages: Lowest rate, Free quality gift, Cheap calls

Disadvantages: Temptation

Just a quick one really to say if you are looking for a new card, or balance transfer then this one is definitely the way to go. MBNA Europe is offering a starter interest rate of 1.45 percent for the first six months to get you hooked.
If you are paying off the minimum three percent monthly then that’s not a bad deal. Or if you’re looking to spend a bit to kill the winter blues or book that holiday they let you borrow two grand if your rating is good.

What sealed it for me is that you can get a superb free gift of a DCT 100 Dialogue cordless phone delivered the next day. Its top of the range stuff to with up to a 250 yard range and all the little buttons that light up!.The gimmick is that it has an optional adapter so you can make cheap phone calls billed to your card. But you don’t have to take up the option and you still get the phone.

The deal ends Feb 23rd in the UK and I believe dooyoo has an online application form on the site. Its well worth sending of as I got my stuff very prompt and balanced transferred to on their free phone line on the back of the card.
Once the six months are up you have the option to move on to another card or pick up on the more than average 14.5% per annum on the balance at that point.
Theres full insurance coverage when buying with the MBNA and all the usual insurance deal and home services in the literature that floods the letterbox.

Credit card companies are crying out for new punters as Brits are going crazy with record debts. People are using them as everyday ways of finance now with the unbelievably low rates and flexibility. But if you are late with the payments then you will feel it big time.
They are expecting lots of customers to default on bills in recession so need to get more hooked to cover that liability.
I have managed to get six cards in total just for curiosity sake and im a very occasional office temp. If I can get great deals like this then I know y
ou can.

Its always better to have credit in case of emergencies and unless you one of those girls who buys a lot of shoes theres little chance of getting too in debt in your savvy. If you do miss a bill then you generally get 15- pound bunged on your bill as a penalty.
If you get into dispute with your cc company then they will sting you for official letters and other tacked on fines.
But I think MBNA Europe is by far the best application form to be filling in right now folks.

I already have one of these otherwise I would have been tempted. I often get cards for their introductory interest rates. I always have the money to pay them off once the offer is over - we bought our car on an egg 0% interest card - my hubby got a card and then I got one and transfered the balance from his. 0% interest for a year on £5000! Not bad. I am just a little worried though that you might get a bad credit rating if you get too many cards? Do you know if this is possible? Jo

I hate credit cards so will stick to the one I have but I acn see why you would want to change with all the free stuff.

MBNA's certainly making headway against some of the more established British credit card companies so they must have something going for them.
