I've had an MBNA card for 5 years now - all fine until I ran into financial difficulty. For a start, the 29.9% APR made it difficult to pay each month. I requested to remove payment protection to ease monthly payment but was denied, due to me being too close to my limit - which was why I needed it removed in the first place! I received multiple calls at all times of the day, including holidays, which drove me nuts. Sometimes, calls were made, which we agreed something, only to be followed up by another call from someone else, asking the same things! Charges mounted when I was unable to pay, and they were not flexible enough to help out, suspend interest payments, or anything. Of 4 credit cards I own, this is the worst.
