Advantages: High limit (also a disadvantage)

Disadvantages: Expensive and apparently variable rate

I've been a customer of MBNA for some reason right now - running at a balance of around 9k.

Guess what they spontaneously did this morning? They upped my interest rate from 1.5 a month to 1.8 a month - because I'd gone over the limit twice in the last 6 months.

Don't trust them - their card protection insurance is triple what it should be according to this
http://tinyurl.com/s7a7 and they feel completely free to change your interest rate whenever they feel like it.

I'm gradually coming to learn that the credit card business is an extremely dishonest business. MBNA are one of the most expensive though. Be warned.

Welcome to dooyoo. I know little of Nat West, but their policy of having direct communication access must attract quite a few customers. Have a read around and enjoy the site. :-)
