After the fiasco we had with Capital One we were very wary when we got an offer to apply for a MSDW card. In the end we did and can I just say it is the best move we have ever done. Thye gave us a decent credit limit, gold card and a decent APR. The helpline staff were very helpful and polite when we enquired about a debited transaction that we had no knowledge of. So much so that they even replaced the card. The APR rate on balance transfers has just been extended and we are very happy with the level of service given by this company. The card has been accepted everywhere we have used it and my hubby likes the strip at the back also been gold. We would highly recommend this credit card to anybody.

I've heard Morgan Stanley offers a Blue and Black card but on their website it is never mentioned so maybe if you dont qualify for either gold or platinum you may be offered the other two. So what do you need to qualify for a gold card? Is your hubby have a good income and credit history? I recall on one particular site that high annual income is not a criteria for a MSDW gold/platinum card so maybe its depends if you have enough revenue or savings to be able to afford it, that would make sense because lets say if someone earns over £20k a year and lives in London he will be no better off than someone earning £12k who lives in Liverpool.
