For Fee Free use abroad (Nationwide Building Society)
Member Name: Trishajs
Advantages: Saves on those Holiday Costs Disadvantages: If you don't pay balance in full- better deals to be had If you travel abroad and like to spend on your credit card - then this is a card you should get because it is fee free when you use it abroad. It doesn't matter if you are someone who jets off regularly or if you just have one break abroad in a year - it is worth getting it and safely tucking it away with your passport to save those extra charges. For use in this country it is also competitive, but personally I have found better deals elsewhere, so I keep my nationwide card just for foreign travel. As with all cards you need to look at the interest rates if you don't pay your balance in full at the end of each month. Also if you think having a.n.other card just for travel would cause you to be tempted to spend on it at other times of the year- then don't get it- as it would stop being cost effective. Summary: I have one - but it wouldn't be right for everyone |
