Advantages: Can be used in lots of places
Disadvantages: None
Sainsbury's loyalty scheme is administered through the nectar card. For every purchase you make in Sainsburys supermarkets and at their petrol stations you are awarded 2 points. 2 points is worth approximately 1p. Points are also awarded for reusing carrier bags - 1 point per bag.
The points are added to your card and you can redeem the points any time you like at the till of your local store or you can echange them for many other things too - like gifts, days out airmiles etc. All the details are on the nectar site.
You can also collect points in many other ways

Phew.... that was a list and a half!! As you can see from so many sources it is well worth getting a nectar card if you do not already have one...so far this year I have collected £90 worth of points - not bad for just using my card where I normally make purchases any way... For further information just visit the nectar card site at www.nectar.com
Summary: A great loyalty card

- 27/08/08 I don't visit Sainsbury's often enough to justify a card, especially since our local one revamped so badly half the shoppers left! I don't use 'loyalty' cards anyway because they are used to target shoppers with junk mail; they contain so much information about you. |
