Advantages: Loads of different online shops to use it in

This is a great way to get money back on your spending. You dont just have to shop at Sainsburys to get points. If you shop online and go through their website, there are loads of online shops that include nectar.

A few of these are: HMV, Talk Talk (when you sign up), Expedia, Thompson local, PCworld, Dixons, Woolworths, and the AA. Check their website for all of them there are 100s.

For most shops you get 1point per pound. At Sainsburys you get 2 points per £1 apart from in the garage where you get 1 point per pound. It doesnt sound like much but its better than nothing, especially if you go into Sainsburys regularly for a big shop.

I go into Jacksons at Sainburys which is like a local small shop. You can get a lot of brand products and a few sainsburys ones but no sainsburys basics. A lot of students do this and none of them seem to use a nectar card. I always use mine, even if I am just spending a pound. I have collected 450 which is nearly enough for a variety of treats including gym membership offers, dvd rental or £2.50 off at Sainsburys.

If you get the nectar credit card and pay with it at Sainsburys like my mum does you can get loads of extra points. She has been doing this for years and always seems to get loads of money off her weekly food shops.

To get one just fill in a form from Sainsburys and post it to nectar. Or you can apply for one online and it comes in the post. Then register the card online and then you can get points on your online spending. Just like a cashback site but with a nectar card!
