The Nectar Card is a bonus scheme card that rewards customers for purchasing various items from Sainsbury's stoe or from the Nectar website and usually gives out 1 point per £1.00 spend on Sainsbury's services or products as well as shopping at various other websites which can be seen on the Nectar website.

There are many ways to earn Nectar points and these include: shopping in store at Sainsbury's, shopping online at Sainsbury's.co.uk, purchasing petrol from Sainsbury's stores & BP, signing up to life insurance, health insurance, car insurance etc, reusing carrier bags and a whole host of other ways. I think that the choice available to earn points is fantastic and quite often there are special offers on to help you earn double or even triple points.

As soon as you have accumulated 250 Nectar points on your card you can begin to redeem these for rewards for money off your shopping or miscellaneous offers which can be seen on the Nectar card website.

Registering for a Nectar card is very simple and can be done in store, by phone or by online application. Your card will be sent out within 28 days and this service is quite prompt. Once you receive your card you will be able to log in online and keep a track of your points, how many you have, where they were earnt, the latest offers etc and the website is very useful. I would recommend the Nectar card for anybody who occasionally visits BP, Sainsburys or a whole host of other stores such as Homebase. Also, the website links to many sites where you can earn points back on your purchases and amazon.co.uk is one of these websites. I recently spent over £300 on Amazon and have earnt 300 points for my trouble which is great as nowhere else is offering cashback on Amazon at present.

I am rating this card 5/5 as it's a free card that can be used at a whole host of other websites to earn you some extra goods for free just for doing your usual shopping.
