Extra Nectar Points- that'll do nicely (Nectar Card)
Member Name: Trishajs
Advantages: Points keep on growing Disadvantages: Amex not accepted everywhere I will deal with the downside first- American Express, unlike Visa and Mastercard is not accepted everywhere- so you have to have another card as well as this one. Now to the good points- if you are a Nectar card holder and do your weekly shop in Sainsbury's it is well worth using this card. You can also earn double points when shopping at Nectar participating companies e.g. BP Talk Talk, Debenhams and Brewers Fayre. The nectar card is no longer as attractive as it was when first launched but if you pay your bills using a credit card the points will start to add up. All your other expenditure gains a single point per pound - but it all helps. They offer an online service so you can see quickly not only your expenditure but also watch your points growand also you can pay your bill. About once a month they "send" the points to your nectar card so you just spend or use as normal. On top of that if you spend £500 in any one month you get a bonus of 500 points. As with any credit card, if you are not going to pay the balance in full every month you must look at interest rates as that is a greater priority than nectar points. Summary: Don't pay your card company - let them pay you |
