Advantages: Improvements being made to collecting and spending points

Disadvantages: the 2 points per £1 / 200 points per £1 redeem still feels like a con to me

This isn't my favourite loyalty card although things do seem to be improving with it and there are other benefits apart from the points, for example I started receiving a really good baby and toddler food-type magazine through the post based on my shopping habits.

I always feel slightly conned that I have to have 200 points to be worth £1, I know that I do get 2 points per £1 spent rather than 1, but its just a psychological thing, it makes me feel hard done by. I also don't think that bonus points are as easy to pick up as with other loyalty cards, although they have started emailing me some good deals for using the nectar card at other stores so they are building up more quickly.

So far I've always used my points in Sainsburys as at a quick glance the deals don't seem to be better value but it could just be that I haven't looked hard enough. They don't send vouchers regularly like some other schemes, but it can be a nice suprise if you're feeling a bit skint and remember to ask at the checkout if you've got anything to use.

Summary: If things carry on the way they are this could become my favourite loyalty card
