Advantages: Photo ID Option

Disadvantages: Doesn't work everywhere, No Issue Number

I've had my card since July and it's had it's ups and downs. The main reason for getting the card was so that I could do online shopping without going through hundreds, (well a few) cheque books and stamps. So the first thing I did when i got the card, was to go online and buy something.

No such luck. First of all, there's no issue number on the card. After a trip to the bank they informed me it was issue 1. So, I tried gadget shop and got "We cannot verify your details" error. Thinking it might be their fault, I went to Argos's site, and got the same sort of message.

However, the card seems to work fine in shops, topping up mobiles and some sites like Amazon.

You can chose whether or not to have your photo on your card, I chose not too since I'm not the most photogenic person in the world. If only the card worked everywhere then this would be great, since you can't overspend and the photo option makes it much safer.

Some sites reject cards if you do not enter your address details EXACTLY as they appear on your statements.

There seems to be some confusion here! When you talk about an issue number it suggests that it's a Switch card you've got and when you say you can't over spend it sounds as though it isn't a credit card at all! You might like to have a chat to the Bank and ask them exactly what they have given you.

Strange. I always use my card online and never had any problem. You should talk to your bank again, otherwise what's the point if you can't use it when needed.
