The only thing I found to be dissapointing about it was that they charge you to transfer a balance but then that is pretty standard nowadays I guess. I found the telephone service to be useful (once I got through to a human which always took a long time but I come to expect that kind of thing). I found it easy to set up my internet banking and to pay online monthly. Since being a student I have had a credit card and have always been up to my limit. I never seemed to be able to reduce the amount I owed and was always just about meeting the minimum payment without touching the amount I owed. Then a friend told me to try moving the amount I owed to an interest free credit card. I imagined that the process would be difficult and it wasn't and now I have done it dezens of times and used lots of different card issuers. Proof Bank of Scotland card services are hopeless. They can send you bills for less than £10 but you can only pay them £10 or more, and if you don't, you get fined £20. I can't think of anything they've done right. I'll keep this as brief as I can. The day before I was supposed to be going abroad, a Lloyds TSB ATM witholds my BoS Midas Gold MasterCard for no reason. Miles away from credit limit, don't owe anyone any money .... everything fine ...... later turns out to be a faulty ATM. Note: The manageress of the bank "hosting" the ATM claimed she couldn't get access to the card until the bank had closed and the card ...
