Advantages: all right if you are alreafy shopping there

Disadvantages: a little bit on the mean side

The Sainsbury reward card is not as good as it could be. There are only few things that I tend to buy in Sainsburys because I do like them and I am fussy about them. I do have a reward card.

You must spend at least a pound and then you get 2 reward points per pound. But they are worth half as much. You get a £2.50 voucher off in Sainsbury's for 500 points. That is a bit mean if you ask me. Or is you use it for other vouchers like the top shop etc then you get a £5 voucher.

I tend to make my points on fuel as I pass a station everyday to work. But even so it still take me a long time to rack up any points. If they want to win the battle of the supermarkets then I think that they have to be more generous.

Some supermarkets do not run reward schemes because it keeps the prices down. And my personal feeling is that it should be cheaper and forget about the cards. But hey we all want something for nothing.
